ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: April 2026

River Ratts were founded in Riverside, California and has been making waves since 2011, evolving from their early days as Los Rudos—formed in 2010 by Frankie (Bass), Jed (Guitar), Marco (Drums), and Roland (Vocals). By 2012, the group shifted direction and reemerged as River Ratts, carving out a sound that’s raw, unapologetic, and impossible to box in. Blending hardcore intensity, indie edge, and Latin-driven rhythm, their music reflects both their diverse influences—ranging from Suicide Silence and Korn to Voodoo Glow Skulls, Morrissey, System of a Down, and The Growlers—and the vibrant underground culture of their Riverside roots.

Driven by a strong DIY ethos, each track carries the spirit of their journey, packed with aggressive riffs, punchy rhythms, and offbeat grooves designed to hit hard and move crowds. That energy has taken them across Southern California and Mexico, playing stages like the Observatory OC, House of Blues Hollywood, Union Los Angeles, Romano’s Riverside, Gato Calavera in Mexico City, Café Iguana in Monterrey, and Rodeo Santa Fe.

More than just a band, River Ratts is a community built on expression, movement, and connection. From backyard shows in Riverside to sharing stages with their influences, they continue to push boundaries and evolve their sound. With their self-titled EP now out and more on the way, River Ratts is moving at full speed—building their rat nest one riff, one beat, and one show at a time.
