Mindy Griffith, a native of Riverside, is a celebrated artist known for her unique, three-dimensional works created from handmade items, found objects, and materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
Over the years, her style has evolved to incorporate multiple media within each piece she creates. She credits her mother and grandmother with igniting her creativity and inspiring her to pursue a full-time art career, which has lasted 40 years.
Mindy received classical training in Southern and Central California and is committed to lifelong learning. She enjoys incorporating new techniques and disciplines into her art, which helps keep her creative mind fresh. She particularly delights in the challenge of transforming discarded items into beautiful works of art.
Many of Mindy's creations are included in private and public collections domestically and internationally. Additionally, she actively participates in her local community, serving as a Board Member of the Riverside Community Arts Association and the Riverside Community Services Foundation.
