ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: NOVEMBER 2024

Cynthia Huerta

Cynthia Huerta is a Mexican-American Multidisciplinary Community Artist, Curator, and Advocate who has been serving Southern California's communities for over 18 years. Her artistic mediums include painting, watercolor, muraling, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, mosaic, and pyrography. 


She has partnered with various organizations such as UCR School of Medicine, Cal State San Bernardino, UCR Undocumented Student Programs, Teaching Residents at Teachers College through Columbia University, Google, Success in Motion, and many more. 


Her personal and public art always centers on the BIPOC community, whether that involves creating with the community, curating shows featuring BIPOC artists, or organizing events and art workshops that provide joy and a sense of relief.
