Veterans for the Arts group exhibition

Located at the Civil Rights Institute Inland Southern California coming up in November!


Exhibition Dates: November 2nd - 11th

Artswalk Reception: November 2nd, 6-8 pm

Artist Reception: November 11th, 12-4 pm

Artswalk Reception

Join the  Riverside Arts Council and the Civil Rights Institute Inland Southern  California in a celebration of the arts created by the brave veterans in  our region who served our country. The exhibition will feature 12  artists who work in various media and hear about how some veterans use  artistic expression as a tool to mitigate and/or overcome the traumas  experienced during their time serving our nation. The opening reception  will feature a panel discussion moderated by Rachael Dzikonski,  Executive Director of the Riverside Arts Council, with guest panelists  Gregory Coffos, Director of Veterans Affairs for Riverside County,  Assistant Director Adam French and more. Come out and show your support  during the First Thursdays Artswalk at the Civil Rights Institute of  Southern California.


Reception: 6-8 pm

Panel: 6:30-7:30 pm

Veterans Day Artist Reception

Join  the Riverside Arts Council and the Civil Rights Institute Inland  Southern California in a celebration of the arts created by the brave  veterans in our region who served our country. The exhibition will  feature 12 artists who work in various media and hear about how some  veterans use artistic expression as a tool to mitigate and/or overcome  the traumas experienced during their time serving our nation. Celebrate  Veteran’s Day supporting our local veteran artists at the closing of the  exhibition featuring live art demonstrations, veteran artist vendors  and free activities in the atrium of the Institute, promising fun for  the whole family. The closing day event will feature a secret guest  artist whose work has been displayed across the nation, so don’t miss  out on the surprise!
