For Artists
Artist Mentor / Mentee
A pathway for established artists to share knowledge and emerging artists to connect with guidance, encouragement, and creative community.
About the Program
Artists helping artists grow
RAC’s Mentor / Mentee pathway connects artists who want to share knowledge with artists who are looking for guidance in their field. It is designed to strengthen community, support emerging creatives, and create more pathways for artists to learn from one another.
Established artists can uplift the arts community by sharing experience, while emerging artists can gain encouragement, perspective, and practical insight as they build their creative practice.
Who It Serves

Mentors
Established artists, creative professionals, teaching artists, vendors, performers, public artists, and cultural workers who want to share knowledge with up-and-coming artists.
Mentees
Emerging artists, students, early-career creatives, Artswalk participants, and artists seeking guidance around creative practice, presentation, opportunity, and professional growth.

How It Can Work
A flexible pathway for connection
Artists complete the Mentor / Mentee interest form to share how they would like to participate.
Mentors and mentees share interests, medium, experience, and goals.
RAC can help identify possible matches or connection points.
Artists connect through conversation, feedback, workshops, Artswalk, or community opportunities.
Creative Career Pipeline
Mentorship helps artists move from interest to opportunity
Mentor / Mentee connections support RAC’s Creative Career Pipeline by helping artists learn from artists, build confidence, prepare for public opportunities, and develop a stronger sense of belonging in the creative community.
This pathway connects naturally to ArtRoots, Artswalk, professional development workshops, artist opportunities, Creative Workforce Fellowship opportunities, public presentation, and paid creative work.
