Black August Revolutionary Film School: Judas and the Black Messiah

Black August Revolutionary Film School is a four-part film series presented in commemoration of Black August, a time dedicated to reflecting on the history of Black freedom struggles, honoring Black political prisoners, and recommitting to the ongoing pursuit of Black liberation and radical resistance. Each Friday in August, attendees are invited to watch a film exploring themes of justice, abolition, and revolutionary movements, followed by a community discussion to encourage political education and dialogue. Educational readings will also be shared throughout the series to provide historical context for each screening. Donations to support the venue and the IE Black Worker Center are encouraged.
